Eric Jon Tanner MRC,CRC, LCPC 

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin, and a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with 10 + years of experience working with individuals of various ages, backgrounds, behaviors, personality types, and disabilities.

 I have a good knowledge of career development and finding one’s career path.  I have experience teaching parenting workshops. I am a licensed foster parent. I have fostered over 14 children and adopted 2 of them.  I have taught and implemented a token economy reward system that helps parents avoid parenting traps and gets kids to want to work. I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults. 

I served a full-time two-year mission for my church, serving others and teaching them about Jesus Christ. If you desire a faith-based approach to therapy, I can provide that for you. I will meet you where you are with your faith journey or avoid it altogether.  

I am fond of using, but not limited to, Solution Focused Counseling, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Rational-Emotive Behavioral Counseling, and Person-Centered Counseling.
